A frosty New Year's morning. I went for a walk from the village of Trefonen, near Oswestry. South to Nantmawr Quarry, then west along the foot of Moelydd. North along Criag Sychtyn, a nature reserve in the care of the Shropshire Wildlife Trust, then back across fields to the village.
This view to the south-west from the lane above Gallt-y-rhiw towards the Tanat Valley and the hills beyond.
The nature reserve is on the left whilst high on the right is the Bryn Plantation.
