Jersey, one of the Channel Islands, is a self-governing Dependency of the British Crown. It is not part of the United Kingdom or the European Union. ( For more on this complex story follow the Wikipedia link ).
The Channel Islands were occupied by Germany in the Second World War and substantial remains of their 'Atlantic Wall' defences can still be seen.
After the War a tourist industry developed, but today Jersey's main income derives from offshore financial services.
Also deserving a mention are its cows and its delicious potatoes !
At this time I was keen on Black & White photography - these photos were taken on Agfapan 25 ASA film. BW 2017
