The Severn Valley Railway opened in 1862, operating between Shrewsbury and Hartlebury in Worcestershire. This little building is the 'down-line' ( towards Shrewsbury ) waiting room opposite the main station building. The line closed in 1963. The area has been tidied up and the structure survives, with the main building being a private dwelling.
Today the 'new' Severn Valley Railway operates as a heritage railway between Bridgenorth and Kidderminster, using mainly steam locomotives.
