There were three malthouses, dating from the later 19th century, in Fobney Street, close to the River Kennet, associated with the nearby H & G Simonds Seven Bridges Brewery. This structure, Malthouse 1, was origionally three times as long as seen here.

... There have been many changes here. The area is now residential.
