Early morning. On the way from Weymouth to Cornwall I pulled in to a lay-by to have a look back. Chesil Beach stretches all the way from the shore below Abbotsbury to Portland on the horizon. The small hilltop shape in the mid-distance is St Catherine's Chapel, built by the monks of Abbotsbury Abbey in the 14th century.
